Sanford Earl Wilson, 84, of 4335 Yecker, died Friday at Bethany Medical Center. He was born in Amazonia, Mo., in Buchanan County near St. Joseph and had lived in the Kansas City area most of his life. He was a self-employed electrician after working eight years for the Hulet Elecric Co. in Kansas City, Kansas. He then served as a deputy U.S. Marshal, before working as a guard for the Bankers Protective Patrol and Pinkerton's service in Kansas City. He was a Navy veteran of World War I and was a life-time member of VFW Post 1894 in Clinton, Mo. He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Panick, Lawrence, Kan., Mrs. Mabel Garrett, Kansas City, Kansas, and Mrs. Ruby Boeth, Kansas City, and a niece, Mrs. Wanda Englebrick of the home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fulton-Nickel Chapel; burial in Memeorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
