Kunigunda Boser married John Stenglein in Germany and set sail for the U.S. in 1891. A week after they arrived, she gave birth to their first son in Newburgh, New York (who was later killed in action during WWI). By the next year, they had settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she lived until her death. She was buried on November 25, 1950.
