"WORCESTER - Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Tipple, who died suddenly Sunday morning of arterio sclerosis at the Masonic Home in Utica, were held from the Presbyterian church in this village, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. J. C. Rankin officiating. Burial in the family plot in Maple Grove cemetery. Mrs. Tipple, who was born in this village seventy-five years ago, was a daughter of Christopher and Catherine (Preston) Foland. She was the wife of Henry L. Tipple, deceased, who for fifteen years was principal of the Worcester High School. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Russel of Gloversville, and Mrs. William Haner of the state of Washington. Mrs. Tipple, who had lived here nearly her whole life, had many friends who will be grieved to learn of her passing."
