STATESBORO, Ga. — Mr. Albert Joseph Wisneski, age 74, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, after a brief illness. He was born January 4, 1938, to John and Katherine Wisneski in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Albert attended Greensburg High School and after graduating, joined the U.S. Army, where he served for six years. He then worked at Thompson's Dairy as a mechanic while he pursued his degree in Automotive Education at Virginia Tech, where he graduated in 1970. Mr. Albert then taught Auto Mechanics at Garfield High School in Dale City, Virginia. In 1978, he moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, where he worked for the Palm Beach County School Board for 23 years until retiring in 2001. In June, 2006, he moved to Portal to be with his daughter and family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Wisneski; and his parents, John and Katherine Wisneski.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ron Waters of Portal, Ga.; three grandchildren, Traci Waters and fiance, Joshua Martin, Gina Waters and Charlie Waters, all of Portal, Ga.; his girlfriend, Juanita Sherrod of Portal, Ga.; three sisters, Gilberta (Bob) McGill of Greensburg, Pa., Barbara (Anthony) Masarik of Jeannette, Pa., and Judith (Chuck) Summa of Bumpass, Va.; two brothers, Edward (Joanne) Wisneski of Greensburg, Pa., and Jerome (Marion) Wisneski of Latrobe, Pa.; two brothers-in-law; four sisters-inlaw and many nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 5th, 2012, in the visitation room of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Father Brett Brannen officiating.

A private family interment will be held in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
