Marvin E. Bachman "Barney" died on 14 Feb 2012 at his home [Cooper Twp., Kalamazoo Co.] at age 86. He was born 5 Mar 1925 to Flavis and Edna (Morgan) Bachman in Park Rapids, MN. He was cremated at his request.

Barney was associated with Diamond Graphics until his retirement in 1982. He enjoyed golf, softball, camping and fishing. He enlisted in the US Army in 1943 and served with the 91st Infantry Division in Italy.

On 13 Sep 1942 he married Velma Schlegel.

Barney was preceded in death by his parents; wife Velma (died 19 Dec 2005); and three brothers and one sister. He is survived by four children, 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his loving cat and best friend for 20 years, Boots.

Barney requested cremation and no visitation or services. Arrangements were by Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East G Ave. 269-349-7735.
