Bernadine died a few weeks short of her 88th birhday. She was born in Woodland, CA., to Frances & Bernard Slaven, lived her early years in Zamora, graduated Woodland H.S. 1942; attended Heald's Business College, & worked for Department of Vehicles until she married Robert Grimshaw in 1951. They lived in Martinez, Chico & Yuba City before moving back to Woodland in 1972. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Woodland. Survived by her daughter Suzanne Grimshaw, sister-in-law Dr. Sally Grimshaw, nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Grimshaw, 1984, & sisters: Kathleen Bennet, 2002, & Mary Tauzer, 2011. Memorial service: The Chapel at St. John's, Woodland, CA, Apr 10, 2012, 10:00 a.m. A private interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Park, Sacramento, at a later date.
