Alvin was son of James Henry Adams. He married Margaret Mae Guy and they were the parents of two children: Camilla Ruth and Alvin Rudolph Jr.

ASHEBORO - Alvin Randolph "Rudy" Adams, Sr., 77, of 355 1/2 W. Kivett St., Asheboro, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Cross Road Retirement Community, Asheboro.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Schwartz and Rev. George Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Adams was a native of Guilford County and lived in Asheboro for the past 11 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, was retired from Desoto Company after 30 years of service and was an avid fisherman. Mr. Adams and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 22, 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Guy Adams; daughter, Camilla A. White and her husband, Lyndon W. of Asheboro, N.C.; son, Alvin R. Adams, Jr. and his wife, Katherine B. of Randleman, N.C.; grandchildren, Alvin Gabriel Adams, Elizabeth Faye Adams, Morgan Whitley White, Kenley Guy White; sister, Delores Swantkwoski and her husband. Stanley of Kingston, Mass.; and three nieces.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
