Claude B. DePew
Claude B. DePew, 55. died Feb. 14 at Liberty-Loomis Hospital. He had been a resident of Sundown. Born in Shokan, March 14, 1911, he was the son of Walter and Ora Brennen DePew. He married the former Susie Keator Nov. 2, 1935 at Olivebridge.
Mr. DePew was a fire tower observer for the New York State Conservation Department
for 10 years. He was a member of the Sundown Methodist Church. Surviving are his
wife; two daughters, Mrs. Caroline Harrison, Sundown and Mrs. James Mallory of Charlotteville, Va.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Lewis of Sundown and Ralph of West Fork; five sisters, Mrs. Gustave Lievre of Saugerties, Mrs. Benjamin Lievre
of Tillson, Mrs. Vincent Guntlow of Graihamsville, Mrs. Donald Wiseman of Ellenville, Mrs. Casey Irwin of Napanoch. Another sister, Mrs. Eleanor Wolcott of Livingston Manor died last night. Funeral services will be Friday 2 p. m. at the Sundown Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Walters officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Grahamsville. Friends may call tonight 7 to 9 and tomorrow 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.
