Mrs. Anna Kurtz Dies While Passenger on Bus
Mrs. Anna Kurtz, 64, of Lincoln Avenue, Maplewood Heights, Dallas Township, died of a heart attack Wednesday afternoon while en-route to this city on a Grayhound bus.
Mrs. Kurtz was stricken ill as the bus left Stroudsburg and was carried into Williams' Drug Store at Pocono Lake, where a physician pronounced her dead. She had been visiting there married daughters in New Jersey: Mrs. Arthur Bowman, Little Falls; Mrs. Al Puterbaugh, Paterson, and Mrs. Ray Hopkins, Newark.
Also suhviving (sp) are her husband, John, and three sons: Charles, of Elmira; Earl, of Paterson, and Raymond, at home.
A native of Nanticoke, Mrs. Kurtz had resided in Dallas Township the past 10 years. She also had resided in Georgetown and Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 from the funeral home, 90 Main Street, Dallas. Rev. Herbert Frankfort will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreeen Cemetery, Shavertown. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 10.
