2012 — OAKLAND — Edna E. (Hershberger) Miller, 89, of Oakland, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at the home of her son.
Born Nov. 23, 1922, in Wayne County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jacob J. and Katie (Wengerd) Hershberger. She was also preceded in death by one son, Levi E. Miller; one son-in-law, Amos Garber; one grandson, Timothy Miller; and two brothers, Eli Hershberger and Atlee Hershberger.
Edna was a homemaker and a member of the Gortner Amish Church.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Emmanuel E. Miller; one son, Ray E. Miller and wife Rachel, of Oakland; two daughters, Katie E. Garber, of Sarasota, Fla., and Verda E. Kinsinger and husband Tobie, of Oakland; one daughter-in-law, Mary Miller, of Greeneville, Tenn.; two brothers, Emmanuel J. Hershberger and wife Katie and Dan J. Hershberger, both of Ohio; 32 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Gortner Amish Church on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the Gortner Amish Church on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Bishop Alvin Beachy officiating.
Interment will be in the Gortner Amish Cemetery.
