Okmulgee, Oklahoma - Services for Doris Eugenia Brune Jones, 89, Okmulgee, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee.
Mrs. Jones died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Southcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was born March 4, 1915, in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of Gustav Wilhelm Brune and Doris Rothwell Brune. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School, Lawrence, Kansas, and attended Kansas University, Lawrence, Kansas.
She spent most of her married life in Okmulgee. Mrs. Jones owned Eugenia's Antiques for many years and painted china. She was a member of First Christian Church of Okmulgee and attended First United Methodist Church of Okmulgee.
She married Robert. E. Jones on March 3, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Robert E. Jones died earlier, as did a son, Robert Rothwell Jones.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Bowlin, Olathe, Kansas; two brothers, Danny Rothwell Brune, and Harold Brune, both of the Lawrence, Kansas, area, and a grandson.
The family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the food pantry at First United Methodist Church, sent in care of the funeral home, 303 E. Seventh St., Okmulgee, OK,
