Bess Taylor

MILES CITY, MT. --- Bess Taylor, a long time Miles City area resident, was interested in
music, art, needlework and crocheting.

Mrs. Taylor, 87, died Friday evening at the Custer County rest Home where she had been a resident for the last two years.

Born at Osceola, Iowa, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Anshutz.
She moved with the family as a child to Mount Vernon, South Dakota, where she grew up and attended schools.

On New Year's Day 1914 the family arrived in Forsyth, MT., by train, then journey by wagon to the Castle Rock Community where they homesteaded.

On June 25, 1916, she married Link Taylor at Forsyth.
They farmed and ranched near Colstrip, MT., for many years and in 1944 bought the old C.B.C. Ranch near Miles City.
Mr. Taylor died in 1954.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Sun City, AZ., and Harold "Hoot" of Jerome, ID.
two daughters, Mrs. Harley (Hazel) Ellison of Livingston, MT., and Mrs. John (Bernice) Olson of Miles City, MT.
a sister, Mrs. Elmer Richards of Sheridan, WY.; two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Family graveside services will be Tuesday morning at the Custer County Cemetery, Miles City. MT.

J.E. Graves Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge.
