WATERFORD TOWNSHIP. A. P. Martin was born in Orange county, Vermont, March 18th, 1818. He went to Illinois in 1844, and there lived until 1855, coming thence to Minnesota, for his health. The salubrious climate of the "North Star" state, restored his health, however, and he now owns a farm in Hampton, also property in Waterford. Married in Illinois in 1857, Miss Mary E. Martin. Ida May, now wife of M. A. Folsom, of Minneapolis; Nathaniel, Lora and Albert are their children. Mr. Martin has been tendered the different offices of the town, but has not accepted.
