Funeral services for Charles "Charlie" Wayne Dotson, 44, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Rosenberg, with Dr. Donnie Melton and Rev. Harold Sellers officiating. Interment will follow in Needville Public Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the First Baptist Church of Rosenberg.

Mr. Dotson was born June 23, 1956 in Richmond and went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2000. Charlie was a truck driver by trade who enjoyed being with his family, the outdoors and his rig.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Dotson.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Susan Dotson; son, Buck Dotson; daughters, Stacy and Stephanie Dotson, all of Needville; mother, JoAnn Dotson of Pleak; brother, George Dotson of Beasley; and sisters, DeeDee House of Beasley and Sharon Camacho of Rosenberg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Charlie's family in his name.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Compean Funeral Home, 507 Broadway Blvd. in Houston.
