Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Bednarek, 82, of Needville were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Needville with Rev. John P. Dany officiating.
Mrs. Bednarek was born August 26, 1882 in Burton and had lived in Needville for the past 44 years.
Survivors include one son, Theodore Bednarek of Needville; seven daughters, Mrs. Annie Garnoski of Sugar Land, Mrs. Rosa Nowak of Booth, Mrs. Rudolph Janecka of Needville, Mrs. Pearl Bowker of McAllen, Mrs. Theresa Kagler of Needville, Mrs. Lorne Smith of Houston, and Mrs. Verna Pagel of Baytown; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Balcerowicz of Needville, and Mrs. Rosa Balcerowicz of Rosenberg; three bothers, Ed Borowicz of Needville and Pete Borowicz of Abbeyville, La; 24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
