Alice Whalen (Daley) Brennan was born in Luzerne county, Pennsylvania on April 15, 1923. She graduated from Luzerne High School in 1941 and then attended business school. Following school, she worked for the Rationing Board in Luzerne until the end of World War II. She married William James Brennan on July 31, 1943 and the couple had 2 children--John (Jack) born in 1945 and William Jr. (Bill) born in 1948.
Alice accompanied her husband on numerous tours during his military career including overseas in the Azores (1951-1952)and in Italy (1963-1965). Stateside, Alice and Bill lived in Kentucky, Wyoming, Missouri, Alaska, North Dakota and South Carolina where Bill retired in June, 1967. They remained in South Carolina until January, 1980 when they moved to Maryland near one of their sons.
On May 19, 1996, Alice passed away at the age of 73 at the Lorien Nursing Home in Columbia Maryland following a 10-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
