Obituary in unidentified newspaper:
RESIDENT S. C. 34 YEARS, DIES
Mrs. Susannah Adams Passes Away at Home at Age of 93
Mrs. Susannah Adams, 1701 Rebecca street, 93 years old and a resident of Sioux City for the past 34 years, died of senility at her home late Sunday morning after an illness extending over a period of three months.
Mrs. Adams was born in Pennsylvania in 1830 and spent her childhood there. Later she moved to Illinois with her family. She lived on a farm near Rock Island for a number of years and then moved to Sioux City in 1890. Mrs. Adams had lived here since.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Adams, a number of years ago. During her residence here Mrs. Adams was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
Mrs. Adams is survived by three daughters: Anna, Emma, and Ada Belle, all of Sioux City, and two sons, J. Q. and J. R. Adams, also of Sioux City. The body is at Samuel Bros. pending funeral arrangements.
[Note: Samuel & Susannah Adams had 4 other children who are buried in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island Co., Illinois - Ida, Synthetta, & Samuel P. are listed in the burial plot. Rebecca is likely buried by a small gravestone engraved "Rebecca", so there are probably be 2 Rebecca Adams buried in the Campbell Bothell family plot there, but the only Rebecca listed is the wife of Samuel's brother James N.]
