CLYDE M. FLEMING DIES IN CALIFORNIA - Clyde M. Fleming, 70, a retired crane operator for Roberts Logging Co. of Lewiston, died Dec. 31, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elane Thompson at Barstow, Calif. He had retained residence at Clarkston although he and Mrs. Fleming had been traveling in a trailer home the last several years.
The body will be brought to Merchant Funeral Home for services Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Kenneth Countryman of the First Methodist Church will officiate. Mrs. Fleming and her daughter will escort the body to Clarkston and arrive Thursday afternoon.
Fleming was born March 14, 1895, in rural Washington. He spent most of his life employed in the Washington - Idaho area. He retired from logging operations five years ago. The family home here was at 1230 3rd St.
Survivors include his widow, Ruth M. Fleming; his daughter in California; a sister, Mrs. Anna Banks, Longview, Wash.; a brother, John Fleming, Spokane; and two grandchildren.

FUNERAL IS CONDUCTED FOR CLYDE M. FLEMING
The funeral for Clyde M. Fleming, Clarkston who died in California Dec. 31, was held yesterday at 2 p.m. at Merchant Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Groseclose of the First Methodist Church of Lewiston officiating. Mrs. DeVoe Miller was organist, and Earl Wilson was soloist for hymns.
Pallbearers were Earl Zingleman, and Merlin Geddes, both of Lewiston; and Lester Swann, Ben F. Taplin and Henry E. Johnson, all of Clarkston. Burial was at Normal Hill Cemetery.
