Mrs. Adeline Wittneben, age 64, died at her home in Needville on March 9, 1953 at 11:00 PM.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Wittneben of Needville; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Meyen and Mrs. Lillie Meyen, both of Modena; one son, Edward W. Wittneben of Needville; three grandchildren; four brothers, August Boecker of Ben Arnold, Charley Boecker of Welcome, Fred Boecker of Brenham, and Otto Boecker of Welcome; and three sisters, Mrs. Louise Lorenz of Texas City, Mrs. Frieda Lindemann of Welcome, and Mrs. Adele Schroeder of Bleiblerville.
Funeral services were held in the Garmany-Heartfield Chapel in Needville Tuesday, March 10.

Mrs. Ed Wittenben, 63, of Needville, died in her home Monday, March 9. She was born in Austin County, Texas and had been a resident of Fort Bend County many years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Needville.
Survivors are her husband, Ed Wittneben; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Meyen and Mrs. Lillie Meyen, both of Modena; one son, Edward W. Wittneben of Needville; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Lorenz of Texas City, Mrs. Frieda Lindemann of Welcome, and Mrs. Adele Schroeder of Bleiblerville; four brothers, August Boecker of Ben Arnold, Charley and Otto, both of Welcome, and Fred Boecker of Brenham; and and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 10, in the Needville Chapel at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. J.R. Vilt officiating. Burial was in the Needville Public Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Wittneben, Raymond Wittneben, Edgar Wittneben, Harry Baker, Willie Baker, and Willie Duesterhoft. Garmany-Heartfield directed.
