Casper arrived with his family at the Port of Philadelphia on 24 Sep 1751 on the ship Neptune. His brother Hans John Hoffman, his wife Elizabeth, and their children traveled along but they were on the Ship Phoenix. Both ships dropped anchor on the same day of the 24th of September 1751.
The Ship Phoenix did not pass inspection until the following day. Both families made it to Berks Co, PA where relatives were located. Both families packed up and traveled through Lancaster Co and York Co PA, headed for the Shenandoah Co, Virginia visiting relatives on the way. They Finally made it to North Carlina where Hans John Hoffman made his settlement. Casper turned around and when back to Berks Co, PA where he finally settled.
