Beloved dad to Robert Richard Jr. Monty Craig Carter, Wayne Eugene Gilliam and Patricia Jean Kane. Husband of Yvonne Chesnut Gilliam Carter ( married Dec. 16,1952 in San Fran.) Grandfather of 8 and great grand father of 9, he has several Great Great Grandchildren .He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Redding California, member of the Scotishright, 32 Degree Mason and Shriner. Mr Carter was owner/operator of Shasta Transfer and Storage(United Van Lines, for 41 years)Mr Carter was a member of Rotary International and Junior Chamber of Commerce. Bob as he was known did alot for so many people in the Redding and surrounding area. When people were burned out or flooded out he would use his equipment and any furniture and etc. that was left unclaimed in his warehouse to help out those people all at his own expense. He gave so much of himself to others. He had an enormous amount of friends.
