PRICE HARBOLD Passed Away Saturday Evening While Sitting On Porch
Death Saturday, Aug. 1, evening claimed Price R. Harbold rather suddenly, although he has been in failing health for some time. He was sitting on the porch after supper resting, when he toppled over and was dead in a short time. He was 62 years old.
Mr. Harbold was born at Bowling Green, Mo., July 24, 1880. He was married to Bertha J. Price on Dec. 27, 1905, in Goodland, and they have made their home here most of the time, leaving for a time but returning about eighteen years ago and living here since.
He was a minister of the Christian church for a number of years, but of later years had been a painter and paper hanger. While living in Sharon Springs a good many years ago he was elected and served as mayor of that town. He was a member of the Christian church here, and belonged to the Masonic lodge at Vermillion.
His wife survives him, and there are three children , William J. Harbold, who is in the army and stationed at Savannah, Georgia, Mrs. Myrtle James, and Charles Harbold, both of Goodland. William is on his way home to attend the funeral having already had arrangements made through the Red Cross to come home because of the poor health of his father.
There are three brothers, Andrew Harbold of Phoenix, Arizona, Walter Harbold of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Edward Harbold of Piedmont, Calif.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church.
