Wanda B. Clawson
Wanda B. Clawson, age 96, passed away March 23, 2012 in South Ogden, Utah. She was born on 02/21/1916 to William Henry Bagnall and Carolina Christianson Bagnall in Chester, Utah.
Wanda attended a one room school in Chester, Utah. She also attended high school in Moroni, Utah. Wanda married Charles W. Clawson Sr. in 1944, after meeting while working for Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base. In 1945 she gave birth to Charles W. Clawson Jr., aka Butch.
Wanda worked various jobs in Ogden Utah, some of which were at Cranes Café. She worked at the turkey processing plant on Wall Ave. She also worked at the Singer Sewing Center on Washington Blvd. She later worked at Hill Air Force Base and later retired in 1971.
Wanda's retirement was filled with activities relating to her grand children, Raleigh and Ryan Clawson. Wanda was a wonderful cook having various specialties too numerous to mention. Wanda was very particular about her appearance, especially her hair. Wanda was involved with various community activities with her sister and friends. Both Wanda and her sister Fern Davis enjoyed weekly expeditions to RC Willey's for the free hot dogs, which coined them the title of the "Weeney Sisters".
Wanda is survived by her son Charles W. Jr. and his wife Pearl, grandson Raleigh W. Clawson and his wife Jacqui, grandson Charles Ryan Clawson and his wife Mindy, and her great-grandchildren, Aniston Clawson, Quinnley Clawson and Taylor Benna.
Wanda was preceded in death by her first husband Newell Jacobson, her sisters Mildred Peterson, Clara Cook, Twila Madson and her second husband Charles W. Clawson Sr.
A viewing will be held at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th St. in Ogden, UT on Thursday March 29, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. A private graveside service will be held for family.
Interment in Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
