Son of William Beauchamp from Delaware, born 1771, died 1830 in Kentucky; mother was Sarah (Morris) Beauchamp.

Records indicate Robert Costin Beauchamp was born in Harrison County, at the Georgetown Fort, Kentucky.

Robert Costin Beauchamp came to what is now Hancock County about 1827 and originally purchased 160 acres of land. Later more land was purchased until a total of approximately 5,000 acres was in the plantation. He build the Beauchamp Home in 1842.
