Mrs. Ruth Adams, 51, of 710 Kirkwood Avenue died Wednesday evening after a sudden illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Jones Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Adams was born April 29, 1916, at River Sioux to William and Josephine Hicks Peasley. She was married to Earl Adams July 30, 1938, in Iowa City and had lived here since that time.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Robert and Roy of Iowa City and William of Garden Grove, Calif., one sister, Mrs. William (Eva) Strand of Spooner, Wis., and eight grandchildren.
Six sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
