Allegany, NY-- Howard A. "Howie" Robertson, II of 4387 Route 417 died unexpectedly Thursday (July 8, 2004) in his home.
Born December 29, 1952 in Olean, NY he was the son of Howard A. and Elizabeth E. Lute Robertson, Sr.
Mr. Robertson was a 1970 graduate of Allegany High School. He enlisted in the US Army in 1974 and served part of that time in Germany until 1978. He then studied business administration at Southern Union Junior College in Wadley, AL from 1978 until 1980, and also at Auburn University in Auburn, AL from 1980 until 1981.
He had been a resident of the Allegany and Olean area for most of his life and had been employed by K-Mart, Inc. for over ten years as a member of its management team. He was a member of the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892. Some of his favorite activities were playing baseball and golf.
Surviving are 4 children Howard A. Robertson, III and Crystal L. Robertson, both of Lanett, AL, Gabrielle E. Robertson of Dothan, AL and Zachary R. Robertson of Allegany, NY; a sister Margaret (J. Karl) Weatherley of Cuba, NY and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by an infant brother James R. Robertson.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
