Mr. Clendenon was retired from P&H Repair Shop after 40 years, where he was a self-employed mechanic.
Survivors include two sons: David Clendenon of Chuckey and James "Bo" Teaster of Greeneville; two daughters: Dian Hensley Clendenon of Greeneville and Lisa Goode Knight of Greeneville; three stepdaughters: Teresa Dyke of Chuckey and Margaret Teaster Wilburn and Melissa Teaster, both of Greeneville; nine grandchildren: Heather Hensley, Terry Clendenon, Brenda Clendenon, Anna Marie Clendenon, Zachery Knight, and Miranda Knight, all of Greeneville, Cory Lamb and Kara Lamb, both of Chuckey, and Regina Ann Shelton of Greeneville; and a great-grandson: Kross Shelton of Greeneville.
He was a son of the late Dan and Rosie Branch Clendenon and was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening and Friday evening at Jeffers Mortuary.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the mortuary chapel with interment in Stone Dam Cemetery. The Rev. Moss Bullard will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Randy Wilburn, James Smith, Jeff Johnson, Jerry Devoti, Gary Knight, and Thomas Fanning.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gina Whitaker, Don Smith, Bill Joe Patrick, and Ralph Harmon.
