George Alfred Smith, 86, of Durango, CO died June 11, 2001 at his residence in Durango. He was born February 3, 1915 in Texarkana, AR to the late George Robert and Vola M. Carter Smith. Mr. Smith was a resident of Durango the past 4 years and a former longtime resident of Bay City. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church, and was in the sheet metal business in Bay City for many years, and was a Veteran of WWII serving in the US Army Air Force. Mr. Smith was a devoted father and was faithful to his Lord and his church.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck with Revs. Marvin Moore and Samuel Starks officiating. Arrangements are by Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.
