Frank Estes was the third child and second boy born to William Walden Bailey and Emma Juliette Borchers. Frank was born on the 27th of February, 1889 in Missouri. He spent his childhood years living in Missouri and Kansas. As a young adult he lived in Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas. The 1940 Census indicates that he went to school thru his 3rd year in college.
On June 5, 1917, Frank filled out a Draft Registration Card that indicated he was tall, of medium build with Brown eyes and black hair. The draft card indicated he was living on 8th Street and Law River in Kansas City, Kansas. His occupation was listed as a laborer and he was listed as being single. Frank enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in World War I.
Sometime between 1925 and 1930 Frank moved to Los Angeles, California. The 1940 census shows Frank at 49 years of age, living at 634 Boybe Street in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Frances. At that time the census indicates Frank was unemployed and was not looking for work. Frank lived in Los Angeles, until his death on May 25, 1972 at the age of 83. Frank is buried next to his wife, Mary in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery (Cypress) in California.
