Prior to marriage she lived for a while in Santa Rosa with her sister Lucille. Her marriage to Neil provided stability for the rest of her life. Neil was a chemist and they lived in San Francisco in the 1940's and thereafter in San Jose close to her brothers Jerry and Burt.
