She was born August 5, 1934, in Ionia, MO, the daughter of Cleo W. and Mamie Elizabeth "Sallee" Robinson.
She was united in marriage to William L. John on January 22, 1953, in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lois P. Schmidt, and her father and mother-in-law, Cecil and Orene John.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Bill; two sons, David John, M.D., Honolulu, HI, and Danny John and his wife Jackie, Heston, KS; daughter Deborah Kaercher and husband Ray, San Antonio, TX; brother Cleo W. Robinson and wife Diane, Omaha, NE; niece Courtney Robinson, San Francisco, CA; brother-in-law Harold Schmidt, Custer, WA; and eight grandchildren
