Miss Effie has lived in and near Elsmore all her life, except two years she was in Colorado for her health, and during that time has formed a large number of friends and associates who deeply mourn her loss.
She leaves two brothers, two sisters, a father and a mother to grieve over her early departure from their home.
She lived an ideal Christian life and her disposition was such that all of her acquaintances were the best of friends to her.
The casket was very beautifully decorated with lovely flowers, tokens of remembrance from warm friends, and was followed to the cemetery by a large number of friends and neighbors.
The funeral was from the home Wednesday afternoon, interment being made in Old Elsmore cemetery. Sermon by Rev Samuel Baker.
