Mrs. Eliza Skinner passed away at 2 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her son, John W. Skinner, ex-county commissioner, at his home in Stockwell. She had been ill for three weeks and her death was caused by the infirmities of age. She was born in Ohio on October 23, 1817, and she came to this county in 1828. Her maiden name was Eliza Conarroe. Her husband, Thomas Skinner, died in 1893. Mrs. Skinner is survived by one son, John W. Skinner, with whom she had lived since the death of her husband. Mrs. Skinner was one of the oldest residents of the county and had a wide acquaintance. She had been a member of the United Brethren church for over seventy years and was a woman of noble character. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. The funeral will be conducted from the home of her son this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. F. J. Beisel will officiate and the interment will be made in the Concord cemetery.
