Mrs. Welch was born January 28, 1909, in Walters, Louisiana. She lived in Lake Charles, LA from 1940-1994, when she moved to Vancouver, WA. She did home nursing, sitting with the elderly for 20 years. She enjoyed cooking for friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Austin Welch; 4 sisters and 1 brother, Francis A. Sharp, Maudie M. Edwards, Agnes R. Ham, Clara Clark, and Eddie C. Jolly. Survivors include her daughter, Hazel I. Bailey of Vancouver; grandaughter, Patricia A. LaBauve of Vancouver; grandson, Roger D. Witherwax of Sulphur, LA; 2 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren all of Lake Charles, LA.
There will be a funeral service, Friday, February 6, at 12:30 pm at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel and burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver, WA.
