Double funeral services for Henry Flippo, 73, formerly of Anson, Texas and his wife, Johnnie Flippo, 70, were held at Hanner Funeral Home in Atlanta. They both died in Shreveport, LA, hospital after a long illness.
Rev. J.W. Crow and Rev. Wallace Watkins both officiated.
Flippo and his wife moved to Atlanta in 1940. He owned / operated a house moving company and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survived by three sons - Charles Flippo and Earnest Flippo, both of Atlanta, GA; and James Kirkland of Athens; two daughters - Barbara Duncan of Jefferson and Mary Thomas of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister - Agnes Cayce of Breckenridge, Texas.
