Florence I. Standard, 96, of Van Buren died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn O. Standard; two daughters, Joan Sheridan and Barbara Redding; two sons, Edward and Paul Standard. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at the Dyer Arbor in Dyer with burial at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. She is survived by four daughters, Joyce Maddox and Mildred Breeden, both of Alma and Margaret O'Dell and Jane Standard, both of Van Buren; one brother, Herbert Whittle of Alma; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
