Louis Akeson

Louis Akeson was born at Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Nov 16, 1872, and passed into eternal peace Dec 18, 1944, at the age of 72 years, one month and two days at the farm home near Ong, Nebraska.

In 1874, he came with his parents to Fillmore County and had lived since that time on the farm near Ong where his parents homesteaded. He and his sister, Tillie, had made that their home since his father passed away in 1929.

On April 15, 1888, he was confirmed in the Stockholm Lutheran Church where he remained a member until 1924 when he transferred his membership to the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Ong where he was an active member as long as his health permitted.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Peter, who died in infancy and Arthur, who lost his life in World War I.

He leaves to mourn his passing two sisters, Tillie Akeson and Mrs. Emma Johnson; one nephew, Harold Johnson and one niece, Mrs. Ernest McCloughan, other relatives and a host of friends.
