Emilia Maria Augusta Rohloff, daughter of Christian Friedrich "August" Roloff/Rohloff and Johanne Dorothea "Caroline" Rohloff nee Steffen was born in Sharon Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota.
She married Ernest Wilhelm Friedrich Boldt on 13 November, 1901 in Cleveland Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota. They moved to Faribault, Rice County, Minnesota about 1919. Emilia/Amelia and Ernest Boldt were the parents of 13 children (ten daughters and three sons). She died 10 September, 1955 after and extended illness.
She was survived by her husband, Ernest; nine daughters; Mrs. Clarence Tressman (Mable), Mrs. Leslie Kenney (Mae), Mrs. Henry Schwartz (Nellie), Mrs. Franz Elmquist (Daisy) and Mrs. Roy Miller (Grace), all of St. Paul, Mrs. Jack Schuller (Dorothy) of Faribault, Mrs. Rudolph Nelson (Ruth) of Kenyon, Mrs. Edward Janis (Bernice) of Chicago, Illinois, and Mrs. Richard Garrett (Florence) of Lakota, Iowa; and three sons; Erwin Boldt of Faribault, Arthur Boldt of Utica, MIchigan, and Ernest Boldt of San Francisco, California.
Also surviving are 32 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Carl Beltz of Henderson and a brother, Julius Rohloff of LeSueur. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie, in 1941.
