RICHARD (DICK) OSCAR ROHRER, 90, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Julia Manor Nursing Home.
Born July 20, 1917 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late John Henry and Margaret Loretta Long Rohrer.
He was employed with Honeywell International.
He was a member of the Hagerstown Bible Church.
He was a member of the Independent Junior Fire Company for sixty years, and was former President; and a life member of the Woodmen of the World, and former President.
He is survived by his wife, Ardis P. Rohrer; two daughters, Gloria Smith of Frostproof, Florida, and Jeanneane Pike of Simsonville, South Carolina; five grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Gerald D. Carbaugh and Rev. Gerald Pike will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
