Her father (if it is same man) appears to have been married at least 3 times: Almedia Lopez 1849 TN, Mary Marsh 1878 TN, Mrs Mary Paramore 1894 Coke Co, TX. Her father's place of birth varies depending on source viewed or person giving the info: Tennessee or Alabama.

NOTE: There is conflicting data on the man who was her father. He was either James Yates, or Samuel Yates, or James Samuel Yates. There are 2 very similar entries for him. One in Alabama #74478043, and one in Coke Co, TX #69109037. Since there is a marriage recorded for him in Coke Co, TX, it would seem most likely that he is the one currently linked on this memorial, James Samuel Yates. NOTE: the fact that Josephine M Hudman was also in the 1900 Coke Co census makes it seem highly possible that her father was the one she's linked to James Samuel Yates.

There is a possibility that Josie's mother is #175419727 (Rachel Almeda Lopaz Yates) however this name is listed as a "burial unknown".
