Alvin (Buck) Edwards, 67, of Kittanning RD 3 died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Negley House Nursing Home, Pittsburgh. He was born April 12, 1909, in West Kittanning the son of Solomon and Martha (Chadwick) Edwards. Surviving are his wife, Edna (Taylor) Edwards; sons Darrell of Kittanning, Perry of South Heights, James of Granite City, Ill., Samuel of Butler RD 2; daughters, Mrs. Carl (Irene) Shankle of South Heights, Mrs. Eugene (Martha) Johns of Granite City, Ill., Mrs. Robert (Carol) Gurley of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) Crissman of Adrian RD 1, Mrs. Alton (Gladys) John of Cowansville RD 1; sisters Mrs. August (Bertha) Schiffgens of Kittanning, Mrs. Zelda Pennington of Kittanning; 20 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. EDWARDS - Friends of Alvin (Buck) Edwards, who died Oct. 6, 1976, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Walter G. Snyder Funeral Home, Cowansville, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Thomas Kidder, pastor of Brush Valley Brethren Church of Adrian. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township. Arrangements by Snyder of Cowansville.
