THE PARIS NEWS, DECEMBER 1993 - GARLAND - Funeral services for Albert Raymond Axe, 78, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 1993, in Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Garland with the Rev. Wayne Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.

Mr. Axe, 78, of Garland was born June 17, 1915, in Garland, a son of William and Clara Axe. He was a lifelong resident of Garland and graduated from Garland High School in 1933. He married Earlyne Barger June 17 1949. He worked for American Airlines for 20 years as a mechanic and inspector. He was a veteran of World War II, holding the rank of sergeant in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of Orchard Hills Baptist Church and a member of its Auditorium Sunday School Class.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Earlyne; a son and daughter-in-law, Albert Raymond, Jr. and Natalie Axe; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Kay and David T. Tapley; four grandchildren, Albert Raymond Axe III, Richard Joseph Axe, Tanya Renee Tapley and Alan Dwayne Tapley; two sisters, Elizabeth Carney and Clara Daniel; and three sisters-in-law, Bernice Axe, Luella Axe and Georgia Axe;

He was preceded in death buy four brothers, William, Fred, Ernest and Cecil Axe.
