Louis H. Pankonin of Arlington Heights formerly of Palatine
Funeral services for Louis H. Pankonin, 92, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. John's Chapel at the Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton St., Arlington Heights. Born Sept. 20, 1909, in Lake Zurich, he was called to the Lord on Monday, Aug. 12, 2002. Interment will be in Randhill Cemetery. Mr. Pankonin retired from Jewel Tea Company of Barrington after 43 years of service. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palatine. Louis was the beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Seegers), who preceded him in 1980; loving father of Violet (Wayne) Schroeder of Palatine and Louis O. (Karen) Pankonin of Snellville, Ga.; loving grandfather of Steven (Janis) Schroeder, Jeffrey Schroeder, Gregory (Kimberly) Schroeder, Annette (Michel) Grogan, Thomas (Paula) Schroeder, Pamela (Paul) Pearson, David Schroeder, Timothy Schroeder, Kristal (Greg) Mason, Damon Pankonin, Larry Pankonin, Jared Pankonin and John Pankonin; and great-grandfather of 25. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Lutheran Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lutheran Home, 800 W.
