Mrs. Marjorie Elizabeth Carpenter, 77, of Knobel, AR., passed away Monday, March 26, 2012, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge, AR. Mrs.

Carpenter was born in Browning, MO., on May 30, 1934. She was a homemaker and member of Delaplaine Baptist Church.

She married her husband Harold Gene Carpenter on October 6, 1967. He survives.

Other survivors include two sisters Mary Collins of Brookfield, MO., Carolyn Hambrick of Pleasant Hill, MO.; three grandchildren Justin Eric Carpenter, Stephanie Ashton McNabb and Kelly Jean McNabb.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Nellie (Lumsden) Wertenberger; daughter Carolyn McNabb in May 2011; two brothers Jay Wertenberger, Chester Wertenberger; and sister Josephine Shipley.

Funeral services were in the Delaplaine Baptist Church in Delaplaine, AR. Burial was in Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR.
