She was the wife of George F. Rhodes and had been employed by the Hagerstown Leather Company for the past ten years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Williamsport.
Surviving besides her husband are her parents D. Leslie and Grace (Wolff) Burkett, Big Spring; daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane French, Point of Rocks, Md.; Miss Geraldine Buchanan, Hagerstown; Miss Nellie Buchanan, Greencastle, Route Two; son, John L. Buchanan, Greencastle, Route Two; sisters, Mrs. Lillian Statler, Greencastle; Mrs. Clara Boppe, Big Spring; brothers, Allen Burkett, Greencastle; Earl Burkett, Hagerstown, Route Four; Charles Burkett, Cearfoss; nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the Norment Funeral Home, where it may be viewed until 11 a.m. Thursday. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church, Williamsport by the Rev. Vernon Miles and the Rev. Reuben C. Cantrell, with interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Western Pike. The body may be viewed at the church from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.
