James W. Nairn, 69 of Brazil died May 23, 2004 at the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born July 14, 1934 in Cardonia, in Clay County, the son of William and Ruth Lambert Nairn. He graduated from Van Buren High School, Class of 1952. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. He worked at Great Dane and form Oxide Chemical and had last worked as a carpenter.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #2, VFW #1127, the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge in Brazil.

He is survived by his daughter Pamela Dickerson of South Charleston, OH; two granddaughters, Lyndsay Dickerson and Lea Dickerson; two sisters Agnes Urbain of Bridgeton, and Linda Love of Terre Haute; one niece Kathy Crague; one nephew Troy Urbain.

He was preceded in death by his father, his mother Ruth L. Nairn Wells

Funeral Information
At his request, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon at French Funeral Home with Rev. Dick McShanog officiating. Visitation will be from 10-12.
