Daniel (Tucker) Brode, 48, of Duncansville, died Thursday, Oct. 25 1984 at the James E. Van Zandt Medical Hospital in Altoona. He was born on Sept. 11, 1936, in Saxton, the son of Edwin Earl and Alice (Krieger) Brode. He was united in marriage to Patsy Lee Teeters on Feb. 23, 1983 in the James E. Van Zandt Hospital. He is survived by his wife and mother of Saxton R.D. He is also survived by two sons, Paul Daniel of State College and John Daniel of Saxton, and one grandson. Also surviving are three brothers, Michael of Harrisburg, Harry of Saxton, R.D. and Joseph of Six Mile Run R.D. Mr. Brode was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Penn State with a bachelors degree in law enforcement and corrections. He was employed with the Pennsylvania State Police from 1957 until he retired in 1971. Mr. Brode also had a real estate license and was employed with the Equitable Insurance Company of State College.
