Died - At the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. J. Prehm, north of Villisca, Mrs. Candace Gillett. She was born in New York State, December 10, 1812, and died April 27, 1894. She was a member of the church 37 years. Although she suffered much during the last weeks of her life, she was always patient. She was the mother of eight children, five of whom still live. After a long useful life, she has gone leaving us a bright example to follow of a loving memories of her.
