GALESBURG - Frances Ruth Obermiller passed away at 12:20 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.
She was born Oct. 30, 1922, to Edd F. Shea and Kathryn Terese Locklin Shea. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. She married Lawrence "Pete" Obermiller on April 20, 1943. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1997.
Surviving are one daughter, Sandra Hutchison, Modesto, Calif.; and one son, Richard (Kathleen) Obermiller of White Heath. She also is survived by nine grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at Watson Funeral Home, 1849 North Seminary St., Galesburg, with rosary at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 2401 N. Broad St., Galesburg. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg.
