Wallace Ray Baccus, 77, of Sikeston, Mo; died Feb. 10, 2012, at his home. Born June 23, 1934 in Winfield, AL, to the late Lester and Annie Belle Beasley Baccus.
He was a farmer and had worked as a finish buffer at National Lock.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
On March 18, 1955, in Morehouse, MO he married Helean "Cudy" Wyatt, and she preceded him in death on June 5, 2008.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law; two daughters and a son-in-law; three brothers, Jimmy Baccus of Deatsville, AL; Teddy Joe Baccus of Rural Hall, NC, and Jackie Baccus of Stephenville, TX; two sisters, Lenora Narmour of Lancaster, TX and Mary Joyce Robin of Knoxville, TN; and four grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; three great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is until time of services Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. His brother, the Rev. Jimmy Baccus of Alabama, will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Baccus, Rodney McAfee, Justin Motes, Ricky Vaughn, Danny Vaughn and Eddie Stewart.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jennifer Stewart, Bethany Haynes, Krissi McAfee, Zachary Haynes and Justin Motes Jr.
